Non-combustible
Reaction to fire according to EN 13501-1.
Minutes · steel
Up to 120 minutes within the assessed scope of ETA-19/0667.
Minutes · concrete
Up to 240 minutes for the concrete elements assessed in the ETA.
Fire resistance is a property of the protected element and its complete construction. Required render thickness and achievable performance depend on the element, fire exposure and design.
Protection tailored
to your structure.
For industrial buildings, existing structures and demanding technical environments.

Steel structures
Beams and columns with a project-specific protective layer. Section factor, critical steel temperature and fire exposure guide the design.
Concrete elements
Upgrading slabs and walls. Concrete cover, reinforcement position and the required fire resistance determine the approach.
Timber and load-bearing structures
Fire protection upgrades for timber beams, timber ceilings and timber-frame walls using a suitable render carrier. System build-up and fire resistance must be established for the specific construction and its applicable verification.
Existing buildings
Assessing the substrate and interfaces before selecting the system. Render finishes can also be designed as exposed surfaces.
Technical knowledge.
Practical experience.
BSB offers maxit ip 160 as part of its passive fire protection services. We clarify the task, coordinate the technical interfaces and support professional implementation.
Manufacturer-confirmed application experience
In its letter dated 19 August 2026, maxit confirms that BSB has received instruction in the application of the system and has experience in its professional use.
Assess
Review elements, substrates and fire protection requirements.
Coordinate
Agree the system build-up and required evidence with the project specialists.
Apply
Prepare the substrate and apply the specified system.
Document
Record checks and support handover with clear documentation.
The material. The detail. The execution.

How is the required thickness determined?
There is no single thickness for every project. For steel, the section factor, critical temperature, exposure and required duration are decisive. Concrete elements require their own assessment. Design follows the relevant evidence and manufacturer instructions.
Where does the ETA apply?
ETA-19/0667 assesses the finished coating without a render carrier under type Z2 conditions: frost-free interiors with continuous relative humidity below 85%. Other constructions or exposure conditions need the appropriate separate verification.
What does the service-life statement mean?
The ETA assessment assumes a service life of at least 25 years under its specified conditions. This is an assessment basis, not a manufacturer warranty.
Is the solution economical?
We assess material, substrate preparation, access, construction details and programme together. A meaningful comparison requires your project data; savings are not a fixed percentage.
Technical references
The current manufacturer information and the European Technical Assessment provide the basis for project-specific planning.
What needs
protecting?
Send us plans, element details and the required fire resistance. We will discuss how the solution can fit your project.
